The first iteration of the Slow Parade was the Slo-Mo Parade during Art Week Des Moines 2018. All participants were free agents and allowed to interpret slo-mo as we walked together through the Downtown Farmer's Market and the Des Moines Arts Festival. For Art Week 2019, the parade expanded into A Very Exaggerated and Even Slower Parade. Participants wore costumes and helped carry sculptural bits. This time, the parade walked through the Valley Junction Farmer's Market, in West Des Moines IA.
